This is my weight loss journal. I'm 27, a journalist and writer, a lecturer, an aunty, a little sister, a girlfriend, and I have polycystic ovary syndrome. My goal is to lose 44kg and go from an Aus size 22 to a 16.

Lite n easy

I pretty much just having been eating. Or eating very little - I just keep forgetting.

I begin lite n easy tomorrow and I think it’ll be a bit of a struggle to eat everything because I just don’t eat the way it’s designed - but I will push myself to eat it when I’m supposed to and what I’m supposed to eat.

No gym lately, had a car accident - well two in a matter of weeks and really injured myself so just healing and seeing the chiro a lot!

Dieting

So I got trim fast shakes and so I’ve been drinking them religiously.

Feeling good.

Gym today

I’m getting super fitter. Lifted 42kg today…

I’m getting there, all I can do is go hard.

Personal trainer

My friend Jasper is pretty fit, he does everything and martial arts. So what did I do? I asked him to be my trainer.

Today we went for a 2km walk, which took us 30 mins, then came home got on my elliptical machine, and did 5, 2 minute bursts and then stretches.

Tomorrow we’re off to the gym to hit the weights.

I’m getting there.

Christmas feast

I have been very slack since I got the stitches in my foot, I got them out about a week and a bit ago, but due to the season have not been to the gym, or eating well. I cooked up a storm for Xmas dinner with friends and family, and had a few days left over. So I’ve not been eating great, I’ve just been munching on prawns and turkey and beans and corn.

Although it sounds healthy, it was covered in butter, salt and pepper, gravy etc…

So new year is coming, off to Byron Bay on Thursday for a week, so upon returning I begin on lite ‘n’ easy and will be heading back to the gym.

New year new me.

My friends weight loss

A friend of mine, started her weight loss about this time last year.

We used to be exactly the same size in everything from shoes to bras, she’s since lost 55kg!

If she can do it, and I can lose 25kg in 6 months like I did last year, I should succeed this time - especially since my medical problems are being diagnosed and sorted out!

I have faith, and drive!

My lunch … So much veggie goodness and most from my own garden!

My lunch … So much veggie goodness and most from my own garden!

Still haven’t had my stitches removed yet… I can’t wait. I’m itching to get back to the gym.

My lunch today was good- some roasted lamb shoulder, corn on the cob, snow beans, butternut pumpkin, roasted cherry tomatoes from my garden, and a little but of potato bake (I know!) all in all it was delicious!

Losing it

I miss the gym! Stupid stitches!

I fear I’ll fail when I go back

Two weeks

Another .8kg down.
I’m thinking of starting lite n easy soon. Just need to get funds into gear.

Bad news though- no gym for at least 2 weeks! I had to have a mole removed from my foot yesterday, didn’t realise it would be as bad or as big a cut as it was! So many stitches!

So will keep eating well, and I’ll probably sneak to the gym just to do upper body stuff- cant hurt right?

On another note, saw the gynecologist today, wants me off ALL my drugs and hormones I’ve been taking because she fears I’m not ovulating which is the main root of my problem not pcos, but I won’t find our for at least 4 months.
